"As a white man I feel its important to not speak over Black and oppressed voices right now. Simultaneously I come from the highest level of privilege and to be silent is to be oppressive.

I love House music. It is a powerful music and it has done tremendously powerful things for me. House music is also Black music. Its music that grew out of the injustices and oppression that Black communities are still suffering from to this day.

Its a line I’m sure we’ve all heard, “This is our house and our house music”. White people did not build that house. White people must recognize that. We must recognize that we have a responsibility to ensure that the community that did build that house does not continue to live with the constant threat of white supremacy and oppression. We must show up and do the work. Black lives matter.

I’m putting up a new batch of tracks today on my Bandcamp. I’ll donate all the money I receive this month from that EP and any past releases on my Bandcamp to the Richmond Community Bail Fund. "
